Why Ice Cream and Why now?

Pam has dreamed of owning an ice cream shop since she was a child. Some of her fondest childhood memories were "Family Days" which always included a stop for ice cream. Raised by working-class parents, there wasn't a lot of money left over at the end of the week. Ice cream was one thing the entire family enjoyed and could afford.

Dollar Cone has been a local treasure for 15 yrs. When Julie posted in 2022 that she was looking for a buyer, the LeBlanc's interest was piqued, but the time wasn't right. In March 2023, Julie posted that she had put the sale on hold to deal with a family matter but was ready to begin looking for a buyer again. They knew that opportunity wouldn't knock for a third time and quickly requested a meeting. On March 27, the Souza-LeBlanc's purchased Dollar Cone with the mission to continue to operate the shop as a small family-owned business and to keep their prices affordable for the community, especially in these challenging financial times.

About Us

"As 20-yr residents of Union County, we feel honored to carry on the tradition of Dollar Cone. We brought our son to Dollar Cone as a kid and then his daughter had her first ice cream cone there. Dollar Cone has meaning to our family, and we know the same is true for hundreds of other local families as well.

We feel strongly that everyone deserves a place to take their family that is enjoyable, affordable, and feels like home. We want Dollar Cone to be that place for our community." - Pam & Jeff LeBlanc
